Horses must have at least 60 days of riding on them (or completed Ashley's bootcamp) to be eligible for this course.

This clinic is great for riders who are looking to get out on the trails and experience the outdoors with their horse(s)! Come enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife! Trail riding is a test to see how broke your horse really is! From traveling to new places to crossing obstacles along the way its always a new adventure! Get your horse ready and learn how to prepare him/her for the great challenges ahead!
Looking to find a place to stay? No worries! Alamo River has RV hookups (30 and 50 amp), tent spots, and cabins! Plus room to keep your horse(s)! Bring 1 horse or more and get them out on the trails! Have family members that are not interested in horses? Theres plenty to do! With a river full of fish to go fishing and swimming, activities around the land, and only 30 minutes from most San Antonio attractions including the Alamo & the River Walk, Lackland AFB, SeaWorld, Fort Sam Houston, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, SA Stock Show, and more! We are setup to make your experience the best yet!
Looking to just spectate the clinic and not bring a horse? No problem! For just $25/day come out and watch the clinic! Just be mindful no motor vehicles are allowed on the trails but you are welcome to bring a bike!
It is recommended that you come all 3 days of the clinic but we understand if you can't make all 3! The clinic will be $150/day (does not include overnight fees if you decide to camp). The clinic will start at 9:30 am and end around 6:30 pm everyday with a 1 1/2 hour lunch break between. After the clinic Ashley will stay behind to help with any problems you are having with your horse, answer any questions, etc. You are also more than welcome to head out on the trails by yourself with your horse or an extra horse you brought to work on what we did that day as well (just keep in mind if you only bring 1 horse he will be tired). Before and after clinics Ashley will work with training horses and participants are welcome to watch and ask questions!
Other topics that are not on scheduled but will most likely be covered is horse problems including but not limited to:
barn sour, head tossing, spooking, bolting, Won't go forward, hot and busy minded, rearing, tripping, grass snatching, running your legs or body into trees, lying down on the trail, tying, buddy sour, and more!
