Join Southwest Workers Union – Centro por la Justicia in celebration of our 29th Anniversary for the opening of the art exhibit, «The Grind: Labor, Love, Community» on Friday April 28th, 2017. This exhibit will highlight the voices of working women and alternative economies as we look at the many angles of working persons in South Texas and beyond.

Featuring work by Mary Agnes Rodriguez, Debora Kuetzpal Vasquez, Arlene Mejorado, Our Lady of the Lake Painting Students, and Vendor Voices, a collection of photographs representing vendors/small business owners as we honor the spirit of community based economies in San Antonio.

The art exhibit will tie into the International Worker’s Day March and Rally on May 1st, 2017 from 4-7 at the herstoric Plaza del Zacate (Milam Park). Our May Day rally is a free, family friendly event with workshops, music, food and an artist market to support small business owners. Southwest Workers Union will also sneak peak our «Comadre Economies: Starting A Small Business» Toolkit.
