In an effort to deepen the musical improv culture of San Antonio, we've invited Rook (Austin) to help shape a musical ensemble here at Bexar Stage!
Making A Musical is offered as a lab to help develop your own musical improv format from scratch. Customized with your individual needs and strengths in mind, this class will leave you with a ready-made format, as well as the tools and drills needed to help developing and growing your personal style for years to come.
Performers signed up for this workshop will be offered the opportunity to perform a set in the 8:00pm show at Bexar Stage the same evening, where they can put their new musical improv format to work in front of an audience, opening for Rook.
Rook is a musical improv team based in Austin, TX that specializes in modern musicals. Combined, Sarah Marie Curry, Cat Drago, Walter Nichols, & Megan Sherrod have over 30 years of professional improv, music, and theater experience.
