There is a Mexican saying that goes like this, «Para todo mal, mezcal. Para todo bien, también.» Which translates into «For everything bad, mezcal. For everything good, mezcal.»
Last year, in their hometown of Candelaria Yegole, Oaxaca, the Sanchez family from Mezcal Rey Campero opened their doors to us. While we enjoyed their hospitality and their mezcal, the Sanchez family cooked for us and showed us their palenque.
Saturday, July 22, Vicente Sanchez and Maestro Mezcalero Romulo Sanchez are arriving from Oaxaca to visit The Hoppy Monk where we will host them with «Tacos y Pistos».
We will have:
~Street Tacos (chapulines anyone??!!)
~Pistos or cocktails with Rey Campero mezcal
~Rey Campero mezcal flight
~Live Music with Indie Latin project Volcán.
Come greet them and learn more about the beautiful, resilient, and wild agave plant.
