On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will cross the continental United States. Come view this historic event safely with us at the Castroville Public Library. We will be giving away safe solar viewing glasses, creating pin-hole eclipse viewers and enjoying solar themed refreshments, while supplies last! So bring your lounge chairs, hats, sunscreen and join us in the backyard for some solarized fun!
The total phase of this solar eclipse is not visible in Castroville, but it can be observed there as a partial solar eclipse. Castroville Public Library will have a limited supply of special eclipse safety sunglasses. (One per person.)
