Ready to take the Half Ironman leap but not sure where to start? Don’t try going at it alone, shorten the learning curve and have more fun by joining a team! When you sign up with Alamo 180 for the Rookie to Half Ironman program, you’re going to be supported and guided on a one year journey from start to finish. You will start with a sprint triathlon and one year later finish a Half Ironman! You’ll go from Rookie to Half Ironman!
The Rookie to Half Ironman training program starts on April 18, 2018 with our Rookie to Race program and culminates with Ironman 70.3 Texas in 2019 (Galveston).

You will follow our group training plans, beginning with our Rookie to Race program that trains for the sprint triathlon, Windcrest Freshman Tri. You will navigate our proven training plans over the course of one year. During the off-season, you will follow our off-season training plan. You will complete the one year program with Ironman 70.3 Texas in 2019.
What if you need additional coaching and support during the program? We offer private swim, bike, and run sessions for you to work one-on-one with a coach. We also offer training plan customization should you need your training plan to be modified in any way. There are opportunities to receive individualized coaching should you need it. You won’t get lost in the program. We’re here to help you!
