Ready to take the Ironman leap but not sure where to start? Don’t try going at it alone, shorten the learning curve and have more fun by joining a team! When you sign up with Alamo 180 for the Rookie to Ironman program, you’re going to be supported and guided on a two year journey from start to finish. You will start with a sprint triathlon and two years later finish a full Ironman! You’ll go from Rookie to Ironman!

The Rookie to Ironman training program starts on April 18, 2018 and culminates with Ironman Texas 2020.

You will receive the following:
•A two year calendar listing all the preparatory races
•Convenient membership Tiers for you to pick the one that works best for you!
•Online training plan through Training Peaks
•Access to triathlon group workouts led by certified coaches
•Access to group strength classes at our studio (IRON XT) led by certified coaches
•Ironman Nutrition Planning Template
•Ironman Race Day Pace & Zone Planning Template
•Monthly accountability through a private Facebook page.
•Discounts on select race entry fees

You will follow our group training plans, beginning with our Rookie to Race program that trains for the sprint triathlon, Windcrest Freshman Tri. Next, you will navigate our proven training plans over the course of two years. During the off-season, you will follow our off-season training plan. You will complete the two year program with Ironman Texas in 2020.

What if you need additional coaching and support during the program? We offer private swim, bike, and run sessions for you to work one-on-one with a coach. We also offer training plan customization should you need your training plan to be modified in any way. There are opportunities to receive individualized coaching should you need it. You won’t get lost in the program. We’re here to help you!
