The mardi gras festival is held on the Arneson River Theatre stage located in La Villita from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. Performing on stage this year will be local jazz favorite Jim Cullum and his Jazz Band. The Crooked Vines and Hector Ward and the Big Time will get your Mardis Gras party going in style. Additional musical talent provided by iHeartMedia.
Decorated floats will transform the River Walk into a floating mardi gras celebration during the river parade from 4:00-6:00 PM. Krews of costumed revelers and music combine to celebrate mardi gras San Antonio style. The Bud Light Mardi Gras River Parade and Festival are FREE. 2pm All the way from New Orleans Louisiana The Crooked Vines are gonna help San Antonio get down with some real deal Mardis Gras party music.
4pm Coming down from Austin, Texas Hector Ward and The Big Time are going re-define swamp boogie for a funky, good time!
Tony Romero will be wandering around La Villita playing some solo jazzy trumpet from 1:30-3pm and Henry Rivas takes over on his soulful sax from 3 to:430pm.
Patrick Neal will be busking during the event at Presa and La Villita Street.
