***UPDATE: EVENT DATE HAS BEEN MOVED TO THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15TH***
The Metaphysical & Spiritual Discussion Group is open to everyone who enjoys engaging in spiritual, metaphysical, and philosophical questions in a safe atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect. We value all views, opinions and backgrounds.
Our goal is to create a community of people who love talking about wonder, mystery, and what it means to be human. We are not experts on any of these topics. We are simply a group of people who appreciate the genuine camaraderie that can develop through thoughtful discussion about life's big questions. Please note that some meetings may have a topic, book, podcast, or video clip to get the conversation started. We welcome suggestions, and the plan is to let the group decide together at events.
Possible Topics: spirituality, law of attraction, meditation, consciousness, human nature, meaning, mindfulness, creativity, emotional intelligence, psychology, mysticism, energy, reincarnation, philosophy, psychic abilities, death, life after death, art, beauty, near death experiences, intuition, reiki, science, sociology, dreams, paranormal experiences, alternative medicine, astrology, etc.
«When is the last time that you had a great conversation, a conversation which wasn’t just two intersecting monologues, which is what passes for conversation a lot in this culture? But when had you last a great conversation in which you overheard yourself saying things that you never knew you knew, that you heard yourself receiving from somebody words that absolutely found places within you that you thought you had lost and a sense of an event of a conversation that brought the two of you onto a different plane, and then, fourthly, a conversation that continued to sing in your mind for weeks afterwards? And I’ve had some of them recently, and it’s just absolutely amazing. They’re like, as we would say at home, they are food and drink for the soul.» — John O'Donohue, Philosopher and Poet
