The San Antonio Botanical Garden continues its Art in the Garden programming with a new sculpture exhibit featuring the work of Rodrigo Garagarza based in Mexico. Garagarza’s passion for sculpture and architecture merge with his mastery of geometry in the series, La Matatena (Jacks). Inspired by jacks from the traditional children’s game, these vibrant, whimsical, and larger-than-life sculptures are on view throughout the Garden until August 2018. The Art of Being exhibit has been made possible in part by a grant from the Russell Hill Rogers Fund for the Arts and in partnership with the Art Legacy and Gomez Vazquez International.
The exhibit opening is Thursday, February 15, 5:30pm-7:00pm and is free and open to the public.
