Author and popular College Professor Dr. Denise Richter will sell and sign copies of her book “100 Things To Do in San Antonio Before You Die” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the landmark restaurant at 2814 Fredericksburg Road (78201) as part of the diner’s year-long 80th Anniversary celebration. The landmark Tip Top Café comes in at #56 on the good doctor’s bucket list (page 63).
Denise Barkis Richter, Ph.D. (UT-Austin, 1998, Journalism), started her blog, sanantoniotourist.net, in June 2010 to share her love of the Alamo City with fellow adventurers. Thanks to her parents, she's been a traveler since she was a small child, and travel is her lifelong passion. Richter has lived and studied in Mexico, Spain, and Guatemala, and she has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Mexico, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. Richter's love affair with San Antonio began at HemisFair, the World's Fair, in 1968.
