Join us for The DoSeum Professional Development series to learn new skills and techniques that you may integrate into your classroom. Register for one or each of our multiple offerings this Fall. We are always adding more! All PD series are held from 9am – 4pm.
September 8: Taking the Plunge: Designing Submersibles
Introduce students to sonar, density, and floating to retrieve packages from a model ocean floor.
September 22: Water, Water Everywhere: Designing Water Filters
Introduce students to water pollution and solutions to combat it.
October 20: Maker Centered Learning
Gain an understanding of the Maker Framework and how to incorporate into project-based learning.
November 10: STEM and Literacy
Investigate the connections between STEM and Literacy.
Available by Request: Visual Thinking Strategies
Engage in VTS to explore their own ability to find meaning in imagery by practicing a set of skills ranging from simple identification to more complex interpretation.
Available by Request: Inquiry
Engage in inquiry-based learning to enhance their teaching practice by building their ability to design and lead inquiry-based lesson plans.
